K-UI 0.61a

K-UI Age of Conan GUI modification

Special thanks to Werik for the first AoC UI mod, checking out his files helped me get started on this.

About K-UI
The design goal behind this mod has always been compactness and functionality. I strive to take up us little screen space as possible whilst also displaying clearly the relevant information needed for playing. This is why in the upcoming version 0.7 of this mod you may notice a further reduction in the amount of graphical fluff. This mod isn't designed to look pretty - it's designed to look clear, whilst also keeping as much of the game world visible as possible.

Disclaimer
This is a work in progress GUI mod, although it's fully functional some things may be broken and/or missing/in the wrong place. I have made this GUI mainly for personal use, suggestions and feedback are always welcome but I don't guarantee updates.

Features
- Compacted to use minimal screen space for maximum info
- 13 x 4 action buttons - all keybindable
- Full buff display for player and target
- Relocated and larger concealment gem
- Background area for chat windows
- Chat window borders smaller and default window docks to bottom left corner
- Various graphical fluff removed from top of screen
- XP bar reduced in size to allow more screen space

Info and Tips
For setting up keybindings the bars are layed out like this:
[2nd extra bar 1-13]
[1st extra bar 1-13]
[Mainbar 1-12] (13 is not keybindable currently due to UI limitation)
As with the default UI, holding alt will switch the bottom bar a secondary bar. The center three buttons will correspond to 6, 7 and 8 in your keybindings.
Chat windows reduced to minimum height should now fit perfectly with 12 lines of text (small font) into the background. Left window can be positioned correctly by making it docked. Right window can be positioned correctly by dragging it over the bottom right of screen and relogging. Recommended settings are to have font size on smallest and make the border of the chat windows transparent in UI options.

Release Notes 0.6a
Well this is a big update! I had to do a lot of hacking with the UI to get all the changes I wanted (concealment gem was a real pain), everything seems to work OK but I've called this an alpha as I haven't had a chance to test it extensively (or in pvp or groups).
- Bottom bars compacted and reduced in size a bit for those with lower resolutions
- Trashed and redid minimap
- Trashed and redid XP bar so it takes up only 2 pixels at the bottom of the screen (no fresh kills counter just mouseover it to see)
- Concealment gem revamped and relocated to a more useful place
- Removed a lot of unnescessary gfx from the top of the screen
- Relocated help button out of the way
- Redesigned lag meter and made it slightly smaller
- Changed colour of stamina bar a bit to make the text easier to read although it's still not too clear
- Trimmed instance change button and stuck it in the top right of minimap out of the way
- Probably more I've forgotten!

Release Notes 0.61a
- Chat borders made a lot smaller
- Removed chat window drop shadow
With these changes chat windows should now fit into the background areas much better see my updated tips for getting it looking right.

Release Notes 0.611b
- Updated for UI build 50752

Installation
- Backup aoc/cd_image/gui/ folder

Great UI I love it. But with the latest build the pet control buttons (necro) are partially blocking some hotkeys slots. Maybe its possible to move the pet buttons.

    Keep up the great work.

Hi guys thanks for your comments, big release today

@Stajaame: I think you are meaning you want the alt-key shortcuts visible? I'm not sure this is possible as the switching behaviour is hardcoded into the main bar. @joypunx: Elite mobs are marked with a skull in their portrait, Funcom marks raid mobs with red skulls by their name text too. @others: I will rework the party and pet window next version!

Kernos - I like the UI but wanted to edit it to get all of the available hotkeys visible. I got it to look the way I wanted, but the .tga file obviously doesn't fit a 4rows of 10 and 1 row of 13. Would it be possible to get this kind of set up?

I tried most of them out there and this one is the best. Please make the group window bigger for us healers :)

    Keep up the good work
