MirageUI for Age of Conan

Mirage UI for Age of Conan v1.21

Change log

Version 1.21, 5/27/2008

  • File revision check update on all mod files for the 2nd US patch on 5/27/2008.
  • Level 40 extra buttons (Q and E) now show up above the top center of the bottom bar.
  • Group list now shows 10 normal sized buffs/debuffs and up to 20 in smaller size per player.
  • Player and Target unit frames now show 8 normal sized buffs/debuffs and up to 16 in smaller size.
  • The buff display located in the top middle of the screen now displays 12 normal sized positive buffs and up to 24 in smaller size.
  • Tweaked the position of the Soul Fragment and Pet command frame moving them slighty up to avoid them from overlapping with the main bars.
  • Fixed a bug in the small bottom bar version where having too many buffs on the target unit frame would shift the layout.

Known caveats

If you have any problems not listed below it is highly recommended that do a clean installation of the Mirage UI as indicated in the Installation section, if this does not resolve your issue or if you have more specific questions on how to further customize the Mirage UI package please let us know in the forums at http://ledmirage.net/

  • If you don't see health, stamina and mana bars but instead a non-colored background only and are missing the all of the images for the shortcut backgrounds then most likely you didn't extract all the graphics from the zip file to the correct location, open up the zip file and look at their paths, that's where they should be in your game folder - they go in the ..\cd_image\Gui\Default\gfx\bottombars\ and ..\cd_image\Gui\Default\gfx\PortraitGUI\portraitsbottom\ do not worry they do not overwrite any base game files (hence they're named mui_*.tga)
  • When the timer bars are set to be always visible the area where you can move them is much larger than the bars themselves blocking mouse interaction with UI elements behind it. In reality the show timer bar option is there so you can move them to where you want them and then hide them again by turning that option off. I had to compromise between the default positions of the bars covering the bars (most users don't know about moving the timer bars) or the current issue with the larger invisible box, so I went with the later.
  • The player and target frames display both positive and negative effects, this is by design to circumvent a current game bug that tags many of the player stances as negative effects (debuffs). As of yet I have not been able to create a new separate buff frame to split negative and positive but I am still looking for a better solution. If you *REALLY* need to filter out positive or negative effects I will be posting a customizing guide sometime soon on my forums at http://ledmirage.net
  • If you see duplicate ability icons in the floating shortcut bars this is normal as the Mirage UI uses the buttons in those two bars to create the new static shortcutbars. You can disable the two additional shortcutbars under OPTIONS > INTERFACE OPTIONS > HUD
