Mirage UI for Age of Conan v1.3
Change log
Version 1.3, 5/28/2008
- Added 2-Bar variations to both the normal and small sets bringing the total of variations for the Mirage UI to four, the installation instructions contain info on how to switch versions.
- The friend and guild member list has been improved, read above for a more detailed description of the changes.
- The level 40 extra buttons added in version 1.21 have been removed due to popular demand. You can always bind any of the new 34 buttons to Q & E and drag your abilities to them.
- Group list now shows up to 30 normal sized buffs/debuffs in rows of 10 per player.
- Player and Target unit frames now show up to 16 normal sized buffs/debuffs in rows of 8. There is a smaller version for them included in the small shortcut bars variations.
- The buff display located in the top center of the screen now displays up to 24 normal sized positive buffs in rows of 12.
- Fixed a bug wiith the pet window shifting the mini-map vertically when many pets were being displayed at once.
- Many small tweaks and minor fixes.
Known caveats
If you have any problems not listed below it is highly recommended that do a clean installation of the Mirage UI as indicated in the Installation section, if this does not resolve your issue or if you have more specific questions on how to further customize the Mirage UI package please let us know in the forums at http://ledmirage.net/
- If you don't see health, stamina and mana bars but instead a non-colored background only and are missing the all of the images for the shortcut backgrounds then most likely you didn't extract all the graphics from the zip file to the correct location, open up the zip file and look at their paths, that's where they should be in your game folder - they go in the ..\cd_image\Gui\Default\gfx\bottombars\ and ..\cd_image\Gui\Default\gfx\PortraitGUI\portraitsbottom\ do not worry they do not overwrite any base game files (hence they're named mui_*.tga)
- When the timer bars are set to be always visible the area where you can move them is much larger than the bars themselves blocking mouse interaction with UI elements behind it. In reality the show timer bar option is there so you can move them to where you want them and then hide them again by turning that option off. I had to compromise between the default positions of the bars covering the bars (most users don't know about moving the timer bars) or the current issue with the larger invisible box, so I went with the later.
- There are no extra buttons (Q & E) at level 40, this is by design since you can map hotkeys for any of the 34 additional buttons - including Q and E, and when you hit level 40 the two extra attacks are on your abilities panel where you can drag them to any button you wish (with the keybindings of your choice).
- The player and target frames display both positive and negative effects, this is by design to circumvent a current game bug that tags many of the player stances as negative effects (debuffs). As of yet I have not been able to create a new separate buff frame to split negative and positive but I am still looking for a better solution. If you *REALLY* need to filter out positive or negative effects I will be posting a customizing guide sometime soon on my forums at http://ledmirage.net
- Duplicate shortcut overlays (keybindings) for ability icons on the floating shortcut bars this are a known glitch that does not cause any problems. You can use all 16 buttons on the floating bars with the only limitation being that there are no keybindings for them (as they are used to bind the new custom Mirage UI shortcut bars)
- The "LEAVE" button from the guild panel was removed by design, if you need to leave your guild use the text command "/guild leave".
