Latest RDB Data Extractor Files http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/ The latest files available for RDB Data Extractor en-us Fri, 01 Aug 2008 22:57:38 +0000 CurseForge.com (http://www.curseforge.com) 08.08.02 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/4-08-08-02/
RDB Data Extractor Changes | 2008 Aug 01
- You can now cancel some dump and scan operations with "Escape".
- A progress bar has been added to many operations.
- Big change in how the program scans the RDB Files. Rather than having to open one file for scanning, all RDB files are now scanned to generate a database. This database is saved, so you only have to do this once every time AOC is updated. I felt the old method was inadequate for generating a proper overview, as you had no idea what RDB file to look in for a certain data file.
- Fixed a "read beyond end of file" error.
- Better and optimised file header detection.
- More settings are now saved to the "config.ini".
- Thanks to "acdr", who also made an RDB Browser, I found out that FunCom Textures just stores the mips the other way around. So now the FCTX to DDS conversion actually works, except for "MIXD" textures which are shown as "ATI1" textures in gray scale for now.
- The FCTX to DDS converter now also works for those files which has a 12 byte chunk header in the actual data.
- Added a "Dump All Chunks" function, but note that doing this, will take long time and use a lot of disk space.

RDB Data Extractor Changes | 2008 Jul 20
- Configurations of the window size is now saved to a "config.ini" file along with the sort method.
- The RDB file is now opened permanently from the start, and not closed again until you close the program, load another file or select Close File from the menu.
- Added the ability to extract the data file from the 1000010 ident and use it to build a filename cache. This file contains the filenames for many chunks in the rdb files and could be very useful for browsing the RDBs. Please refer to the readme file for more information on how to do this.
- Added a few more entries to the "idents.lst" file, and fixed some previous ones which had invalid file characters in them, resulting in files in those idents were unable to be extracted.
- Dump method added to split the JPEG files seen in the "14.rdbfile", under ident 1010013.

RDB Data Extractor Changes | 2008 Jun 30
- Viewer option changes now take effect without having to re-click the chunk entry.
- The viewer will now exclude the header of the files, unless the option in the "Viewer" menu to include it is enabled.
- A few more ident descriptions has been added.
- Added the ident description to the directory which the files are dumped to, making it easier to navigate the "Dumps" folder.
- The total size of all its sub chunks has been added to each entry in the ident list.
- Now writes the correct amount of Mips when converting from FCTX to DDS (I think).
- LMXB is a Binary XML file, extension changed to "bxml", decoding not yet implemented.
Fri, 01 Aug 2008 22:57:38 +0000 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/4-08-08-02/ http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/4-08-08-02/ no-reply@curseforge.com (Aezay) 08.06.30 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/3-08-06-30/
Mon, 30 Jun 2008 13:58:14 +0000 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/3-08-06-30/ http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/3-08-06-30/ no-reply@curseforge.com (Aezay) 08.06.21 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/2-08-06-21/
RDB Data Extractor Changes | 2008 Jun 21
- Now detects XML files.
- Been trying to make it extract FCTX files which are really just DDS files, at least I can get a DDS reader to load them, but it is not being shown properly. I guess I am missing something in how I convert it from FCTX to DDS, if anyone has some info on this, please let me know.
- Added descriptions to many idents of what kind of data they contain. The listbox in the program now show these descriptions, making it easier to find something specific.
- You can now use F3 to dump the selected chunk, and execute it with its associated program.
Sat, 21 Jun 2008 10:31:51 +0000 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/2-08-06-21/ http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/2-08-06-21/ no-reply@curseforge.com (Aezay) 08.06.14 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/1-08-06-14/
RDB Data Extractor Changes | 2008 Jun 14
- You can now extract chunk data so it becomes a real file with valid extension, this only works for some of the data chunks, so far OGG, LIP, PNG, DDS. Use the "Dump Raw Chunk" to get the full chunk.
- Extensions also supported, but which I don't know how to process are: FCTX, RDBH and LMXB.
- Added more columns, Ext, Hdr1, Hdr2, Padding. Ext tells you which filetype the chunk is, the Hdr1 and Hdr2 are mostly for debugging, they are what is used to determine the filetype. Padding is the header size in the start which is skipped to get to the real file data.
- Changed the way dump files are named, this was to avoid having two entries with the same name, and thus overwriting each other when dumped.
- Added a small preview window, it will maximum load 64k of data, so if you want to view more, you'll have to extract it and use an external viewer, such as a hex editor.
- There is now a small caption at the top showing which ".rdbdata" file is opened.

Sat, 14 Jun 2008 02:09:30 +0000 http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/1-08-06-14/ http://aoc.curseforge.com/addons/rdb-extractor/files/1-08-06-14/ no-reply@curseforge.com (Aezay)
